The brand was inspired by the iris flower.
Iris, known in France as fleur-de-lis, is the unofficial national flower of France and a symbol of royal power. Historically known as the "heraldic lily", this stylized flower, resembling a yellow iris, has been used on the coats of arms of the French monarchy since the Capetian dynasty.
